Piya was inspired by Oprah Winfrey’s book ‘The Path Made Clear’ to embark on the journey of establishing a family law firm, moved by deep realisation that she wanted to create not just a life of success, but also one of significance.

In her years of practice as a litigator, Piya found her passion in family communication and dynamics as well as child development, slowly  building her specialisation in family law.

Over the years, Piya has handled a wide array of matrimonial and divorce cases in the High Court and Court of Appeal including but not limited to child custody disputes, alimony and financial claims, property division as well as cross-country and extraterritorial child recovery and child adoption matters.

Witnessing first hand through her practice, how a matrimonial dispute has life-changing effects not just on the parent involved but also to the children of the marriage, Piya’s mission is to not only present legal support but to also be a pillar of strength for her clients.

Recognising that in the matters of family law, her clients' journey is one  of the most emotional fights of their lives, at Piya Law Chambers, empathy and kindness is front and foremost.
